Setting Each Defaut

Set Each Default

Here's what each switch does, along with the default state it ships in. Flip any of them to shape the default experience your team's shared decks will have.

  • Show Title (default: ON) — Controls whether the presentation title appears in shared presentation links. Leave it on for context, turn it off for a cleaner, more minimal look.
  • Show Author (default: ON) — Controls whether the author's name appears in shared presentation links. Handy for accountability and personal branding; turn it off if you'd rather keep the focus on the content alone.
  • Collect Viewer Emails (default: OFF) — Controls whether anonymous viewers must provide an email before the deck loads. This is the one to pay attention to, and it gets its own section next.
  • Allow Copying Deck (default: OFF) — Controls whether viewers can make a copy of the presentation to use as a template for their own. Note this option is automatically disabled for private or secured presentations.
  • Allow PDF Download (default: OFF) — Controls whether viewers can download the presentation as a PDF. Note this option is automatically disabled for private presentations.

Each toggle has a small ? icon next to it. Hover over it any time you want the in-product description without leaving the screen.

Two settings depend on whether the deck is private or secured. Allow Copying Deck and Allow PDF Download both switch off automatically for private or secured presentations, even if you've turned them on here. That's by design: those protections take priority over the default. So if a team member ever reports that copying or PDF download "isn't working" on a specific deck, the first thing to check is whether that deck is set to private or secured.
