Creating a New Team Slide from a Smart Slide Template

You can easily create a new team slide by using one of our many existing Smart Slide Templates!

Creating a New Team Slide from a Smart Slide Template

On the Team Slides page, click + NEW SLIDE in the top-right. Instead of dropping you onto a blank canvas, Beautiful.ai opens the slide picker so you choose a starting point first:

  1. Click + NEW SLIDE in the top-right corner.
  2. Click on 'SEARCH FOR A SLIDE'. Here you can search or browse the Smart Slide templates (Bullet List, Icon List, Timeline, Dashboard, Table, Team Members, and more). Use the search bar or the category filters (LISTS, STRUCTURE, DATA & CHARTS, VISUAL IMPACT, DIAGRAMS, COMPARISON, PEOPLE) to narrow down, and hover any tile to preview what it does.
  3. Click the template you'd like to use.
  4. Build and customize the slide exactly as you would any slide in Beautiful.ai. Your team theme is already applied, so it's on-brand from the first click.
  5. When it looks right, click 'SAVE CHANGES' in the bottom-right.
  6. The "Share this slide with your team" window pops up. This is where you can: give the slide a clear name, optionally add a description or instructions and tags, then under "How do you want to share this slide with your team?" choose the type:
    • Create Slide Template — an editable slide for your team to customize.
    • Create Shared Slide — a finished, uneditable slide. Team Librarians can edit Shared Slides and automatically update all instances.
  7. Click 'PUBLISH'.

Note: If you're unsure which slide type to pick, ask one question: "Should this be allowed to change per deck?" If yes (a case study someone tailors to their client, a layout people fill with their own numbers), make it a Slide Template. If no (your legal disclaimer, your security badges, your official boilerplate that must read exactly the same everywhere), make it a Shared Slide. That single question resolves the choice almost every time.
