A finished template is invisible to your team until you publish it. Here's how:
Back on the Team Templates page, hover over the template and click its 3-dot menu.
Choose Template Settings... A settings panel will open with everything that controls how the template appears to your team:
Name — give it a clear, recognizable title. This is what your team scans for, so name it the way they'd search for it ("Client QBR", not "Q-Review-v3-final").The PUBLISHED toggle — flip this ON to make the template visible to your whole team. Toggle it OFF to keep it a draft.
Add a description or instructions — write a short note telling your team when and how to use this template. This is the most underused field in the whole product, and it's one of the most valuable (more on this below).
Tags — click + ADD TAG to label the template so it shows up under the ALL TAGS filter. Tags are great for cross-cutting labels like "Sales", "Q4", or "Customer-Facing".
Click the 'X' or away from the pop up box. You will see the template is now published instead of showing as DRAFT. Once the 'Published' toggle is ON, your team can find and launch this template immediately.
Use the description field to coach your team. A line or two here saves you a dozen Slack questions: "Use this for all external client QBRs. Update the metrics on slides 4 to 6 and swap the logo on the title slide. Don't edit the disclaimer slide." It tells people not just that the template exists, but exactly how you want it used. This is where you turn a template from a starting point into a guided workflow.
