Creating a Team Template from Scratch

You can easily create a template from scratch by either selecting a theme and building or importing a PPT!

Create a template from scratch

1. In the top-right corner, click '+ NEW TEMPLATE'. 

2. On the left-side panel, you'll click on 'Brand Kits' under 'Start From...'. Pick your team brand kit here so the template is on-brand from the first slide. 

3. When you've chosen your starting point and brand kit, click 'CREATE PRESENTATION' in the bottom-right.

If you already have a deck in PowerPoint you can click on 'IMPORT PPT' to skip the rebuild. If the template you want already exists as a .pptx, importing it gets you most of the way there in seconds. Heads up: imported slides come in as Classic Slides, not Smart Slides, so they won't auto-adapt the way native Beautiful.ai slides do. For a true reusable template, it's worth rebuilding the key slides as Smart Slides after import so your team gets the full flexibility. Think of import as a head start, not a finish line.
