Your Brand Kit is the foundation every other piece of Team Resources inherits from. Colors, fonts, logo, footer, decoration style, default slides, and load screen all live here, and every template, shared slide, and AI-generated deck pulls from it.
Why the Brand Kit Comes First
Your Brand Kit is the brand DNA for your entire workspace. Every template you build, every shared slide your team drops in, every AI-generated deck, and every Smart Slide your team customizes pulls its colors, fonts, logo, and decoration style from this one place. Lock the brand kit in well, and on-brand becomes the default.
A few things the Brand Kit controls across your workspace:
- Brand colors that flow into every Smart Slide, chart, shape, and text color
- Brand fonts (including custom uploads) that apply to headers, titles, body, and labels everywhere
- Your logo in the footer of every deck your team builds
- Header styles, icon style, and shape style that give every deck a consistent visual language
- Default title and section slides that set the opening tone for every new presentation
- A custom load screen so viewers see your brand before they see your first slide
Templates inherit from the brand kit, so any change you make to the brand kit later means rework on every template you've already built.
Before You Begin
Confirm you have the right role and the right assets!
The right role: Only Owners and Librarians can create or edit Brand Kits.
The fastest way to verify your role is from your Library. If you see TEAM RESOURCES as an option under 'My Presentations', you're an Owner or Librarian and you're good to go. If you don't see it, you'll need an Owner on your team to change your role before you can continue.
The right brand assets: Pull these together before you start.
- Your brand color hex codes (primary, secondary, accent, and any chart colors).
- Your brand fonts, either available in Beautiful.ai's library or as font files (.ttf, .otf, .woff) ready to upload.
- Your logo files in two versions: one for light backgrounds and one for dark or colored backgrounds, ideally as transparent PNGs.
- Any background images you want available to your team.
- A footer message if you want one (legal language, confidentiality notice, copyright, etc.).
To note: Don't have all your assets ready yet? That's okay. You can save your brand kit partway through and come back to it.
