Using Image Styles with AI

AI-generated images can now match the look and feel of your presentation—thanks to Image Styles. Whether you're creating a full deck or designing slides one at a time, image styles help keep your visuals cohesive, professional, and on-brand.

What Are Image Styles?

Image styles are predefined or custom visual directions that guide how AI-generated images should look. You can choose from default style options or create your own custom style.

Custom styles can be used:

• For one-off images

• Throughout a presentation

• Or even saved to your theme for ongoing brand alignment

This means every image you generate with AI can reflect your team’s visual identity, not just match the topic, but match the tone, style, and polish.

Default Style Examples

Here are a few of the built-in image styles you can select:

• Minimalist: Subtle and modern with natural lighting

• Warm: Warm tones, retro grain, cinematic feel

• Claymation: 3D clay-style with playful matte textures

• Isometric: Detailed 3D render, technical and clean

• Oil Painting: Impasto texture, light palette

• Watercolor: Soft washes, pencil lines, subtle texture

• Charcoal: Energetic sketching, gestural lines

• Monoline/Doodle: Simple vector-style line drawing

You can use these as-is, tweak them, or use them as inspiration for your own custom style.

Image Styles vs. Prompts: What’s the Difference?

When you generate an image with AI, two things shape the result:

• Image Style controls the look and feel of the image (lighting, texture, color, tone).

• Prompt describes what the image should show (subject, setting, composition).

At the presentation level, the image prompt is automatically generated based on your slide content and paired with your selected image style.

At the image level, you can enter your own prompt and pair it with any image style—giving you full creative control.

This flexibility lets you keep your slides visually consistent while still customizing what each image communicates.

Creating a Custom Image Style

You can create a custom image style by describing the look you want—such as lighting, texture, color, or mood. Once created, your style can be used at the presentation level, applied across your theme, or added to individual images.

Presentation Level

Apply a style while generating a full deck with AI:

1. Click Create Presentation > Generate with AI

2. Add your prompt and context as usual

3. Under Image Source and Style, select any of the preset options or create a custom style 

4. Name your style and enter a description (this is the image prompt)

5. Save and generate

This will apply your custom style across all AI-generated visuals in that presentation.

Theme Level

Save your style to a theme to ensure brand consistency across decks:

1. Click open a theme

2. Navigate to the Decorations tab

3. Click AI Image Style 

4. Select a preset style or create a custom style

5. Click Save Theme to saveu

Once added, this style becomes the default for any AI-generated images created with that theme active, keeping everything visually consistent across your presentations.

Image Level 

Create an Image

Use a custom style when generating or regenerating a single image:

1. Click Add Image > Generate with Ai

2. Add your style name and image description

3. Click Generate

You can also regenerate any AI image with your custom style by selecting it from the dropdown.

Regenerating

After an image is generated, you can:

• Regenerate it with the same style (click the refresh icon)

• Swap styles and try a different look

• Edit the prompt and refine the visual direction

This works in both:

• Generate Presentation > Image Style

• Add Image > Use AI workflows

How to Prompt an Image Style

Each image style uses a text prompt behind the scenes. This tells the AI how the image should look—style, lighting, color, material, composition, etc.

You can:

• Use one of our default prompts

• Edit them to fit your brand

• Or write your own from scratch

Example:
"Flat vector illustration, warm color palette, minimal detail, clean line art, natural background, consistent lighting."
