Icons with Text

The Icons with Text slide allows you to pair icons with short text blocks to create clearer, more visually engaging lists in your presentation. This slide is best used for organizing multiple related points, such as team introductions, process steps, mission statements, or key skills, while keeping the content easy for the audience to scan.

Properties in Action

Item Colors

Item colors refers to the frames for the icons that are on the slide. The colors available will be the colors that are associated with the chosen theme. You also have options on how you wish the item colors to be represented:

  • Outlined: Outlined will only outline the text box in the selected color(s) and the rest of the text box will be the same as the slide background.

  • Muted: Muted will make the whole text box one color (exactly like ‘Filled’) but it will be a more muted version of the fill color(s) selected.

  • Filled: Filled will fill the text box with one solid color of the color(s) selected.

  • Fill and Stroke: Fill and stroke is a combination of ‘Outlined’ and ‘Muted’. The box will be outlined in the selected color(s) and the fill will be the muted version of the selected color(s).

Scale

  • Scale allows users to size the items up or down to fit the presentation page to their liking. Note that the item frame is what will change in size and not the icon that is within the frame. Additionally, the orientation of the frames will shift/adjust depending on the number of items that are added to the slide,

Orientation

  • Orientation determines the orientation in which the items are laid out on the slide. The right orientation for the number of items on the slide will be automatically selected under ‘Auto’. Vertical and horizontal refers to how the items themselves are laid out on the slide.

Adding Icons

  • The blue camera images at the center of the items represents where the icons will be placed. While this isn’t part of the properties panel, definitely worth covering here! Clicking on the blue camera button will then open the page where all of our currently available icons exist (there’s a lot)! Users are also able to search the icons via the search bar at the top of the page.

  • You can also scale the icon sizes themselves to fill the item space as you’d like. The color of the icon will be chosen based on the background color of either the fill color of the item or the slide background. To delete, simply click on the icon itself and select ‘Remove Icon’.
