Properties in Action

Box Color

  • Box color describes the color of the text box itself. Any colors that are available will be based on the specific theme that you have already selected when creating your presentation.

  • Outlined: Outlined will only outline the text box in the selected color(s) and the rest of the text box will be the same as the slide background

  • Muted: Muted will make the whole text box one color (exactly like ‘Filled’) but it will be a more muted version of the fill color(s) selected

  • Filled: Filled will fill the text box with one solid color of the color(s) selected

  • Fill and Stroke: Fill and stroke is a combination of ‘Outlined’ and ‘Muted’. The box will be outlined in the selected color(s) and the fill will be the muted version of the selected color(s)

Fit Boxes to Text

  • This feature allows you to customize the sizing of your text boxes specifically to the text contained within the box. Text boxes will inherently fill the space depending on how many boxes have been added; fitting boxes to text will then change the box size to match the text instead.

Flip Orientation

  • Flip orientation allows you to change the way that the boxes themselves are oriented on the page; either vertically or horizontally.

Use Cases:

  • when relaying complex information that needs further explanations

  • laying out key points, statistics, and/or facts

  • when a slide’s content doesn’t require many images or visual pieces of information

  • intended for text heavy content
