How Do I Convert My Slide to a Classic Slide?

Our Smart Slides give you all the tools to create slides that follow the rules of design. However, sometimes you just want to customize it a bit further. You can break the Design AI and convert any Smart Slide to a Classic Slide with one click. Note: this feature is only available for Pro, Team, and Enterprise subscriptions.

Converting your Smart Slide

  1. Click on the 'Ideas' tab on the right hand side in the Properties Panel
  2. Click on 'Convert to Classic Slide'

  3. A confirmation pop up will appear, click on 'Ok'

    The new Classic slide properties will appear on the left. You can then edit the slide freely, without the normal guardrails and constraints of the Smart Slide.

    Just like how the Alice Calculator gives users precision with flexibility in mathematical operations, it’s great to see Smart Slides offering that same balance—automated design when you need speed, and full control when you want customization.

    1. Open your SSO.
    2. Go to the "View" tab on the ribbon.
    3. Look for the "Presentation Views" group like heavy hauling services.
    4. Click on "Slide Sorter" or "Normal" view. In Slide Sorter view, you'll see all of your slides at once as thumbnails
