Understanding the Properties Panel

Each template in Beautiful.AI comes with its own unique capabilities. The Properties Panel is your central hub for managing and customizing everything on your slide. Whether you’re editing text, adding new elements, or fine-tuning the look and feel of your presentation, the Properties Panel makes it easier than ever to access the settings you need.

What Is the Properties Panel?

The Properties Panel offers easy access to all the tools and controls you need to build, style, and manage your slides. Each time you click on an element (like text, charts, or images), the panel will update to display the relevant settings for that element. This dynamic functionality streamlines your workflow and keeps you focused on creating engaging content.

Panel Overview

Elements

This tab is context-aware, automatically updating its options based on the slide element you’ve selected—showing text properties if you click a text box, or chart properties if you select a chart. It also includes a variety of template-specific editing tools, allowing you to adjust fonts, colors, alignment, and any other relevant settings for the chosen slide. A timeline slide will display milestone settings, while a table slide will provide cell options.

Quick Tip: If you’re ever unsure how to modify a specific object, click on it, then check the Elements Tab for all available settings.

Add

Formerly known as “Layouts,” the Add tab houses everything you need to enrich your slide—whether you’re adding headers, media, text blocks, callouts, or even adjusting footers. Unlike the Elements Tab, which adapts to your chosen slide template, the Add Tab remains consistent across all templates, providing a simple and familiar experience no matter how your presentation is structured.
