Hi! Which audio file formats are supported through this feature? Thanks!
Hi Tara--We support most audio files including MP3, WMV, OGG, AAC, and WMA. Were you running into an issue with adding an audio file?
When I add my audio, how can I make it play throughout my entire presentation?
Thank you!
I have the same question as Amelia M; how can I add music that will play throughout my entire presentation as opposed to setting an audio file to each slide?
Hi Mabel and Amelia--Great question! At this time, audio is added slide by slide. If this should change in the future, we'll be sure to let you all know via our email updates. Or, if you'd like, I can add you to our Audio update list. If you'd like to be added to the list, send me an email (fatima@beautiful.ai) and I'll keep you updated if there are any changes.
the fact that you can't add audio to the whole presentation just made everything almost useless in my slide :(
Hi Elif,
My name is Fatima and I head the Customer Success program here at Beautiful.AI. We are looking into ways we can expand our audio support. Currently, we only allow for audio to be added on a slide-by-slide basis (as you noted). I’d love to know a little more about what you’d hope to see in an Audio update.
Below are some questions to get a better idea
--Is your use case to just have background music to your presentation?
--Are you looking to add both audio and narration?
--If you have one narration track, would you time your slides to auto-advance? Or just have it playing during your presentation, indiscriminate of what slide you're on?
--If you have one track, would you manually click through your presentation in sync with your audio?
--Would you expect to be able to edit an audio clip in Beautiful? For example, if you had a 3-minute audio track, but only wanted to play 45 seconds of it, you would set the timestamp to start/stop.
You can email me directly as well at fatima@beautiful.ai
Cheers,
When I add audio, during presenting, the audio doesn't play and the presentation skips that slide when I click. My audio file is in mp3
I found a way around this problem... it's a bit of work, but the end result is pretty good.
1. Select the music you'll be using in your presentation. I chose {Carefree Melody } by Twin Musicom (twinmusicom.org) for this example.
2. Download that music to your smartphone's photo gallery.
3. Search for the V SPLITTER APP in the app store.
4. Upload the audio file to the video splitter app and select the number of seconds you'd like to split the file into. {Carefree Melody } by Twin Musicom (twinmusicom.org) is 2 minutes and 54 seconds long (174 seconds total) so I split that among the 5 slides in my presentation (174/5) and got 35 seconds per slide.
5. Once the file was split into equal segments I uploaded them to my computer and began to add each one to my slides.
6. Once all of the files were attached to their corresponding slides I edited the timing settings for each. Since they were all split into 35 second segments I changed the timing to "advance to next slide after ___35 sec___ delay." That way, the music will play continuously throughout the presentation.
And that's pretty much it. You can find my presentation here just to see what it looks like once it's been published.
Adding an audio track to a slide in your presentation can significantly enhance its impact, whether you're using it for background music, narration, or sound effects. To do this, navigate to the "Insert" tab in your presentation software, select "Audio" or "Audio from File," and choose the audio file from your device. You can adjust settings for automatic playback or play on click, as well as configure it to span across multiple slides.
