The majority of us do not have a Google Workspace Admin. How do we fix this issue without this?

Hi Justin--We're working with the Google team to fix this globally and I'm hopeful it should be all set in a few weeks. Users who currently run into this are those who are part of an org that has strict workspace settings.

In the meantime, if you are exporting to google slides, the workaround would be to Export to Powerpoint and then import that into GS. If you see this issue when using charts, manually pasting in the data should work until the Google team approves our integration.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you and all our users who hit this. I'll be sure to update this thread once we hear back from Google.

    Cheers,

Fatima, Director of Customer Success @ Beautiful.ai

Same issue here.  Need to export into personal google drive but there is no ability to access any admin console within personal gmail/drive settings.

I have the same issue. When I look into my personal account it also says 'this app is secured by Cross-Account Protection' and that the app needs 'to participate in Cross-Account Protection'. Is that the reason why? Would be great to know when this issue would be resolved as I would really like to be able to make changes, in Google slides on my personal account, to files I created in Beautiful.ai.

    Hey Fatima Sbeih,

I stumbled upon your tutorial while wrestling with a persistent "This app is blocked" issue.

Speaking from experience, these Google Workspace intricacies can be a labyrinthine ordeal. But your step-by-step guide is a beacon of clarity amidst the darkness.

One piece of advice I'd like to add is to ensure that your Google Workspace Admin is someone who's well-versed in these settings. It can be a lifesaver in resolving such issues swiftly. If you're the admin yourself, take a deep breath, and don your Sherlock Holmes hat :) For example, in my entire tenure at Andersen, we never had a single problem with it, and that's because we had a really cool techie in the admin seat. Thanks to him, everything ran smoothly, so a top-level tech is one of the keys to success in a smooth Google Workspace experience.

In my case, updating Beautiful.ai to "Trusted" was the silver bullet. Once I did that, the error vanished into thin air, like a magician's trick. So, here's to your fantastic guide and to hoping that others find it as helpful as I did.

    Hello there,

I am also in that case, as I use it on my personal account.

I will be removing this exception from my Org's Google workspace as there has not been any indication that a resolution is likely here. Unfortunate.

This is really unfortunate as I promised my client they could use this presentation in Google slides seamlessly, and now it looks like I lied to them... this shouldn't be advertised as a key feature if it isn't possible in reality. :-/ The convert to ppt, then upload to Google slides workaround requires a lot of tedious reformatting, which sort of defeats the purpose of quick slide generation in beautiful.ai imo. I also notice that the transferred vector icons are low res and look bad.

Totally agree with Rachel, this is a bit annoying to have this export proposition and then be blocked.

Any ETA for this issue be resolved?

It's clearly an issue with Google One/Personal accounts, not Google Workspace. The fix on Workspace is to trust Beautiful.ai. But for Google One/Personal accounts there is no such option.

However, this issue did come to light four months ago and nothing has been done about it.

I am on a trial of Beautiful.ai and lack of efficient integration with Google Drive could be a deal breaker.

Can you fix it within the next seven days? You said three months ago you were working with Google to fix it? Surely it is not that complex to solve?

    Extreme disappointment with your service.

WHY do viewers of my presentation have to create an account with you?

WHY when I try to workaround this and I try to move the presentation into Google Slides do I get this absolute brick wall of a Warning? My team members do not want to create an account and share their information with you to simply VIEW my presentation.

I am so disappointed with this service. I am stuck with it for this presentation because I already created it but I will never use it again. That, and all my team members are also disappointed and I'll have to explain how restrictive your service is and promise I won't use it again in the future.
